They're looking for a rider who will ride him without a saddle during his training here. Vince, I think that is you!

The Marathon was the absolute best race of the whole 2012 BC card.

As far behind the field as he was for much of the race, that's how much daylight he won by.

He sure has a kind, intelligent eye (talking about the horse).

Why alter his training routine and method? He was successful winning the race the way they do things, I don't understand why they would change it up.

Anyhow, I think the horse has an advantage, as he is clearly a stayer, but I wonder if Puype can be successful with him?

I look forward to seeing this horse run again.

Yeah I kinda' thought it was too bad he wasn't going home to be traqined in the way that works for him. Not many trainers have very good luck in the U.S. with imported horses. I'll never forget (or forgive) Elliot Walden ruining Ipi Tombe.

This is terrific. This is my new favorite horse of all time. Thanks for sharing those great photos.

What a setup it was:
...A bunch of races in Argentina on dirt
...Proven, mature, good looking stayer
...440 Tomlinson at the BC Marathon distance
...Trainer named Frankel
...Totally acclimated to Southern California (been there two months)
...Nice long workouts with his goofy headgear
...Low profile jockey who can get the job done
...17 to 1 (by a crowd that made Jaycinto 10 to 1!)

This is a real race horse. Please, leave him alone. Stay with what works.
