Hollywood Park: Baffert to spread out mounts

Trainer Bob Baffert said on Wednesday that some leading mounts in his stable will be spread around to other riders. In recent months, Baffert has extensively used Bejarano. In the Breeders’ Cup races at Santa Anita on Nov. 2-3, Baffert and Bejarano were winless in four races as a team, including with two favorites.

Mike Smith will ride Executiveprivilege when she starts in the $500,000 Hollywood Starlet Stakes on Dec. 8, replacing regular rider Rafael Bejarano.

As long as anyone not named Martin Garcia am fine with it. I like mike smith and am sure he'll fit her just fine. Am surprised though Rafael Bejarano isn't riding but at least bob still uses him. It feels like Garcia and David Flores most certainly fit the speedsters. While, Joe Talamo and Rafael Bejarano and garrett gomez fit the stalker-come from behind horses.
