A great BC, not at the races

I really enjoyed this year's Breeder's Cup. Hit one of my patented ALL/3/3 Pic 3's early that set up my bankroll for the day, and then with flyers on Tapizar, Little MIke, and CK's He's Had Enough (nice call!) pretty much earned beer money for the month.

Had some stinkers in there, too, namely Alpha and Optimizer. Almost pulled the trigger on Trinniberg but just didn't see Parbhoo and Co. in the winner's circle. Glad I was wrong on that.

Was holed up in the basement with enough cheese popcorn and Bud to last until next years BC. When NBC finally got to broadcasting I was in heaven with the HD and surround sound. We've come a long way, baby!

DirecTV doesn't carry HRTV, so I can't compare, but I thought the NBC folks did just fine. Sneaky good reporter of the day was Michelle Beadle, she has a future in this game, her pick of Alpha not withstanding.

One thing we need to do though, is as graciously and respectfully as possible give Battaglia and Neumeier a "lifetime achievement award" and send them on their way. I have no idea what purpose their input serves unless it's to make the rest of us feel good about ourselves. Nice career guys, thanks for the memories, but anybody can pick obvious favorites.
