Santa Anita Park - Dirt Track

Postby Vp123 » Sat Nov 03, 2012 5:12 pm

without wanting to belittle the quality of the winning horses in dirt track, I think the condition of the track rudely favored the fast horses.

In my opinion the dirt track at Santa Anita is not good, I think if the Breeders Cup is raced at Churchill Down had other results would be.

I don't think many west coast trainers are too happy right now, they got smoked today at SA over the two days save Tapizar and Beholder.

Bejarano still winless at SA in BC races.

For all the gripers on this board about synthetic and this and that, I don't know how anyone can call this current surface any less of a farce. This tracks speed bias is a complete joke. The good news, at least this current SA surface is safe, unlike the garbage that they ran on earlier this year.

Bejarano has always been very consistent, but I think for the past month or so he has put up a large number of uninspiring efforts.

Was out there and thought the BC did a very nice job, and was surprised how "cheap" the alcohol was. Great vibe out there and think you sure could make a case that it should be out here every year. Just wish they could give a horse out of the top 3 at the 1/4 pole a legit chance to win a race.

I don't think Rafael Bejarano had the best SA meet since he really showed his stuff at Hollywood Park and Del Mar but maybe his horses aren't running for him right now but certainly the biggest disappointment since I thought he was going to be the jockey to dominate the BC races. Joe Talamo stole his thunder this SA meet.

I do not blame Bejarano, Baffert have to ask what happened to their horses.

They were really bad, no speed, no consistency, completely exhausted.

Maybe the much demanded in the works prior to the BC :?:

I don't think he put in a bad ride and I think he just wasn't fast enough to get out
