It'll be rare if he gets outridden here in CA except in NY. Ramon Dominguez outrode him a couple times out there.

Joel is a top five rider and Dominguez had the edge when Joel made the change to NY. But Joel now has super agent
Ron Anderson booking live mounts for him all over the country and is slowly making up the ground on Ramon and
Johnny.

A lot easier in Ca as opposed to NY. He's 15-16% in NY. In Ca its him and Bejarano. He rode 16% with a super agent in NY at the Belmont Meet. Velazquez, Ramon, Javier, Lezcano were bouncing back and forth from Keeneland to Belmont. Alvarado came back later in the meet from injury and rode in at 21%

If he stays East for Gulfstream, he can easily become a threat to Dominguez for the 2013 Belmont and Saratoga meets. Velazquez isn't much of a threat because he doesn't ride the amount that Ramon rides like he use to.
