I'm guessing RA might not have danced in all the other dances had the BC not been at SA. We usually only hear of trainers pointing for the BC, not putting their star away for it.

Do you think "putting her away after a long hard campaign" means that Rachel wouldn't have run in the BC even if it run were somewhere like Belmont or Churchill?

Obviously I don't know what she would have done prior to a Breeders' Cup at a place like Belmont or Churchill, but perhaps they would have bypassed the Woodward or Haskell. My guess is they would have skipped one of those.

I agree about a change in schedule. Jackson always knew she wasn't racing in the Breeders Cup so he sent her to challenging races to make her year stand out. I think they would have skipped the Haskell and Woodward and went to the Alabama, Beldame and then BC Ladies Classic or Classic if it was on dirt. Next year's campaign will be very interesting. I'm wondering if she will be taking on the boys as much or staying with the gals for most of the year until the BC at Churchill. She can't go to Dubai because they have Tapeta at Meydan so it will have to be races at various eastern and midwestern dirt tracks. A pple Blossom at Oaklawn looks like a place they might start if not at Gulfstream. Then maybe a race or two at Churchill Downs, then Saratoga and Belmont and the big finale at Churchill in the Breeders Cup.
