By far the biggest being he'll ride pretty much everything for Mike Mitchell. Tremendous foundation right out of the blocks. He'll definately adapt his riding approach based on the instructions he'll get from So.Cal trainers. That's not even a consideration. Having Joe Ferrer as his agent is also a huge asset. If anyone can juggle two top riders and get away with it (I couldn't) it's Joe. He can funnel some of Bejarano's 2nd calls to Julien instead of having to give them up to Talamo or Garcia. Huge tactical edge. Also, Bejarano is one of the best people I've ever met. He gave his blessing for this move and will honor his word 100% unlike some others over the years.
Leparoux is a mortal cinch to be top five. I make him 2nd or 3rd fighting with Talamo for that spot.
ONE must defer to you as someone who has real experience in these matters, but has any agent been able to juggle 2 "top riders" for more than a couple months? Doesn't human nature seem to take over regardless of the caliber of the person? It seems like the jockeys always give their blessing, but it never stays that way.

Sharp post. By the way. Joel Rosario doing well in NY and we were all kind of against the move and look how well he's doing.

Scotty McClellan represented Chris McCarron and Alex Solis simultaneously for years.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

It's not unprecedented (see mary previous post) but it's rare. To me it's all about the caliber of the person and his integrity. Bejarano, McCarron & Solis all true and classy gentlemen all the way.

McCarron still was doing well when Solis started becoming a factor in So.Cal

Ok, he coming, however, how in the hell will he get the good mounts, Good Luck Julien Breaking into the jockey club here is very hard. Many have tried with talent and went back home. As they say, go tell it to the marines.

Baffert certainly won't use him as his riding style conflicts with Bob's training style. I can't remember one time that Bob used him

His riding style elsewhere means absolutely nothing. He's an eclipse award winning jockey and can adapt to any style. He'll ride to instructions here. Completely not a considersation. As for riding for Baffert. Doubt you'll see Julien on many. Bejarano's biggest moneymaking barn is Baffert's by far. Trying to work Leparoux into that barn will never work. Joe is too smart to muddle that situation. Garcia, Talamo and Flores through hard work have earned their secondary status.

Julien "reportedly" tried to hire a different agent who currently has no other rider, but when that agent made "outrageous" demands to Julien that were not met favorably, Julien then asked Joe to take his book. I will be interested to see how long Julien Leparoux will be content playing second fiddle to Bejarano and/or if Leparoux happens to pick up a top mount, how Bejarano reacts to Leparoux riding a horse "that could have been his". I have seem this scenario play out more than once and it ususally doesn't end well...
