Massive Fine For Darrell Vienna

The DRF is reporting that trainer Darrell Vienna has been fined for not reporting "1st-time gelding" for his $36.80 winner Adam Suances on June 18 at Hollywood.

The fine, sure to deter such conduct in the future, was a whopping . . . drumroll, please . . . $750.

Boy, that'll show him.

At least in Kentucky the DOUBLED DlCK'S Suspension for his positive test. IMO, he should get YEARS, not 30 days. But WTFDIK?

He probably made more than that with a show parlay with the horse. How embarassing can this industry get.

Props to Kentucky is indeed in order for the doubling of Dutrow's suspension. Someone needs to start laying down the law on cheats. I'm interested to see what happens to Assmussen.

I think the proper punishment in this instance would be for the CHRB to have Vienna himself gelded.

a simple oversight... $750 seems a fair enough nudge for an infraction.
The rate of recidivism for a "crime" of this nature must be low to non-existent... considering.

Vienna has had an incredible Hollywood meet. He is almost a must use until he cools down.
