I would obviously miss the live racing from BHP but would at the very least need a satellite wagering facility somewhere in the South Bay or Westside. Something like a sports tavern or grill with SAMS machines. That would somewhat lessen the pain of not having BHP anymore. Track operated for some 75 years or so and it would be a shame if it was imploded in favor of condominiums and other developments. BHP was Inglewood's larger employer and payer of city taxes. I guess that doesn't count for anything anymore.

Hollywood Park is planning to drop the 2-3 fall meet night cards they normally do this year and plans to focus more on the hispanic market including Mexican Fridays.

Well, Sept 16th is Mexican Independence Day, let the party begin!
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Does anyone know, any new ideas when they open.
Goof ? Mike ?
"...HP is right around the coroner...". Coroner? Is HP already dead?
I used to be indecisive; now, I'm not so sure.

One pet peeve of mine is there is only a two tier section of the track where most other tracks have three. BHP has general admission including player's club and turf club. I prefer clubhouse type admission to keep the rift raft away. There is no such separation at BHP, consequently you'll be standing behind a 10 cent superfecta player who has a $5.07 balance in the machine who is standing there for 5 minutes or more.
I will say this, having experienced the on-track attendance at Suffolk Downs for years (no admission $ now), all it takes is a $1 charge and you can get some separation of the lowlifes and those bettors who make an effort to look respectful.
