Hollywood Park, throw all their marbles in the first weekend, then it dried up. I hope they do something like Del Mar did to attract horsemen there.
To me, they're running worse then FairPlex, or a second rate track.
They do have the options to increase handle and attendance, however, will they move on it.
We will have jockey races the first five races, then open season on the rest. I don't want to play a track that has five horses in the first five races, do you ?

Probably nothing, as usual. They are just collecting their paychecks until the track is closed down.

Speaking of Santa Monica....... Lester, what happened to the giant Ferris Wheel idea for Hollywood's parking lot?

They could have $1 beers, free admission, and 10-12 horse fields and the on track attendance would still be miniscule.

Word is they are going to have the neighborhood hero's from yesterday's bank robbery drive around the track throwing money out the window for all fan's in attendance. The sticking point from what I heard is if they are going to throw cash or voucher's out the window.

Nice. Speaking for myself and many of my colleagues we put our heart and soul into every day we work at and represent Hollywood Park.

Does anyone know, any new ideas when they open.
Goof ? Mike ?
We were brainstorming on that very subject this morning. Lester we feel if you can document you won't be within a 100 mile radius of the track on any racing day. Attendance for that afternoon card will increase by 500 patrons. See you can help afterall.

Goof,
Mike and I love HP , no doubt about it, we just want it to succeed , nothing more
I just wish management would do something that would change things.
Don't you think for one minute we don't care, embarrassing them will not do it, advising them will not do it.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?
