Past Breeders' Cups on HRTV

In case people aren't aware of this, on Monday night the station showed the 2005 Breeders' Cup, and tonight it's the 2003 edition. I didn't see it on my programming, but it's on now. I wonder if the station is going to keep showing these. These are the NBC telecasts.

Are they including all the talking, interviews, commercials, etc., or showing just the races?

Yes, all the interviews. The commercials look like typical HRTV commercials in real-time, but they are having interviews and special segments. It's NBC with Tom Hammonds, Donna Brothers, et al. Just saw a touching segment on Shoemaker, who died just prior to that year's BC.

I was there for the 2003 BC, I wonder if the smoke while show cuz thats when all the fires where around that day.

I hope they show the 2004 Breeders' Cup. I want to see Ghostzapper beat that field again, which had Azeri (former HOY), Funny Cide (KY Derby, Preakness, JCGC winner), Birdstone (Belmont Stakes,Travers winner), Roses in May (future DWC winner), Perfect Drift ($4M winner), and Pleasantly Perfect (former BC Classic/DWC winner).

Loved it last night. Had the 30-1 Phipps horse Pleasant Home in the Distaff, because on my trip to Keeneland that year I had bet on her in the Spinster(at least I think it was the Spinster, I know it was their prep for the B.C.). It's so cool their showing the ENTIRE NBC broadcast of the Cup. I think it's great marketing on off nights to get people's appetites up for the 2009 Cup.

BTW, tonight's 2003 highlight for me will be Johar. I always seem to catch one long shot each year, and that one was mine. Still, don't think to this day he actually dead-heated for the win. If it takes 15 minutes to decide, something's wrong.

Yeah, the smoke is terrible. You can barely see the mountain. I don't think I've ever seen the 2003 BC. This was Mandella's year, right?

2004 was the first year I had an ADW account and was able to properly take in the races. Thanks to the original poster for pointing out these telecasts. It's great to see the entire show.

I checked my Dish Network guide for more Breeders Cup, but alas there are none schedule. I really loved watching the 2003 BC tonight. I wish they would show more...
