buying mares that come from proven female families. azeri doesnt have that.
Not yet. But she's only had foals since 2006. Too early to tell about her. Every proven broodmare started out unproven.

It is really sad and if you remember a few years ago it did affect her. How can it not. Cruel I think. These horses are flesh and brains not a piece of steel to sell like a car.

It makes me think of a kid going from foster home to foster home. Kind of an extreme way of putting it, but still....I believe that horses (dogs, apes, elephants, etc.) can feel bereft. "And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"

Re: Azeri is For Sale Againnot yet? her female family has already shown through generations no quality. she is probably just a freak, and the chance of her producing a nice horse is no better than any $20k claimer if bred to the same stallions.
Re: Azeri is For Sale Again
I meant that she could be the start of a family of female producers. They all had to start with a particular mare, didn't they? if she gets the right nick or nicks, who knows what might turn up. History starts every new day. "And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"
