New thoroughbred world record maybe

Postby Clockerbob » Fri Sep 11, 2009 2:55 pm

In the seventh race on closing
day at Del Mar there were four horses scratched by the vet!
World Record? What was the reason!

I would guess that they were all sore and showed it.
Would you rather have had them run and possibly break down?

No I don't think a sore horse
should start but four in one
race begs for a different answer..

I would say if you are running horses in this day and age (year long racing), it doesn't surprise me that four horses were entered that were sore. Most probably some of the horses that ran in the race were sore too, just not enough to get scratched.

Just out of curiosity what would your "different answer" be?
