No I don't think a sore horse should start but four in one race begs for a different answer..

I would say if you are running horses in this day and age (year long racing), it doesn't surprise me that four horses were entered that were sore. Most probably some of the horses that ran in the race were sore too, just not enough to get scratched. Just out of curiosity what would your "different answer" be? Nureyev . . . . my Twinkle Toes
