Is Union Rags the next Easy Goer???????

Postby Vince P » Thu Apr 05, 2012 7:52 pm

Can't help but think of Easy Goer when I watch Union Rags run.

Both seem to just do [not] enough to win all the time but both are extremely talented animals.

Both lost the BC Juvy as probably the best horse. Both lost other big races because they didn't get started for whatever reasons until it was too late.

Anyone else think of Easy Goer when they see Rags run?

My guess is that Rags will beat most of the horses he loses to, by a mile in the Belmont.

They both love Belmont and should have won the Juvenile. Easy Goer was devastating in the Gotham and a workman like in the Wood. I am not sure what to make of him, but I am not a big fan of Leparoux . I don't follow east coast racing accept for Derby preps and I don't watch this guy ride every day, but I am not impressed with what I have seen of him. He must have hypnotic powers or something .

Too late for that. Rags has already had a better career and he's not done yet.

i would put union rags about 6th on my depth chart. the races coiming up will probably lower
him. the florida derby was weak.

Well the issue with easy goer was simple ,wrong jockey for wrong horse, great horses usually get beat by their jockey, they never let them show their greatness, secretariat had the right jock, let the horse do their thing, not the jock, pat day made good horses better, but constantly hindered great horses by over thinking rides...easy goer was great just had the wrong jock.....can anyone say lil ee tee,pat days only derby winner
