Fatality

The Daily Racing Form reported on its Web site that the maiden filly Bell Canyon Road was euthanized yesterday morning after a breakdown near the finish line following a workout. She was trained by Barry Abrams .

But the fractured sesamoids in her right front leg were so severe that she needed to be euthanized, according to her trainer, Barry Abrams.
