By Benchmark, first foal out of a full sister to Truly A Judge. Went to Barretts May sale to see him where he brought $40,000 -- respectable number for this sale in a weak economy. Good looking colt, tall and near black like his uncle, Bernstein said he moved well on the track in previews. But most of family preferred two turns and weren't win early types, so don't think sprinting as a two year old will be this guy's strong suit. Has the right to be a runner when he matures and stretches out so keep in mind for the future.

This one isn't mine. Another client of David's was bidding and got outbid. I believe the colt was signed for at the auction by Doug Oneill's brother, who has bought some good ones over the years.

We have a mare who is a half sister to Judge, first foal born this year, very good looking animal. Hoping Bench does well since that would increase the family's value in general, but none of the Judge group own a piece of this one.

Bench the Judge ran very well, I thought. The jock had him on the rail in the stretch, he was full of run, just missed the place........he's a looker too.
