Dice necklace to appear @ Saratoga

I just received a call from the NYRA and was asked if would I consider bringing the world famous dice necklace to Saratoga for the Woodward Stakes. It seems that they want to have a photo shoot with Rachel Alexandra wearing the dice necklace.

After haggling back and forth the NYRA offered an appearance fee and we accepted. So we leave for the East Coast early Friday morning. As I am bound by our confidentiality agreement, I can't go into detail about our financial compensation. However, just to give you a hint the dice necklace will have its own seat in first class.

The real problem with wearing it in New York is that it won't be a one-of-a-kind outfit, but rather commonplace back there, no?

Wearing it on the west coast made it unique, so much so that some dame could actually fall in love with it, can you imagine!

Is there any truth to the rumor that NYRA will also be holding a small, yet solemn ceremony in which the infamous Dice Necklace will be retired once and for all. I've heard talk of a small vestibule next to the paddock statue of Sea Hero. A fitting tribute to a racetrack legend.

If not, perhaps it can used to barter for some late-night b-o-o-b-age on Caroline St.

Why do I have a smelly suspicion that the dice will not make it through airport security?

Fredo, be sure to place that jewelry in a checked bag....your usual (smuggling) hiding place will most certainly be revealed during the inevitable search that can only take place behind closed doors.

I'm sure if I tip Homeland Security agents a sawbuck they'll let me skate thru airport securtiy .

I got a meesage on me home phone from NYRA.....motorcade is meeting us as Bradley International on Friday. Guess word is out about the dice necklace and NYRA has received many threatening emails and phone calls about a possible theft attempt.
