If 'Fan's hobby was writing budget proposals and not horse racing, he could come up with a plan to pay off the national debt. That's how focused the kid is.

Tvghrtvfan wrote:well the anchors on tvg are known for being clowns but very few try not get involved in the petty non sense and sure some do have knowledge or no knowledge!! some of them when they started they were new at this and didn't really know anything about racing.

like examples are greg wolf had no knowledge of racing before coming to tvg and became a decent and fine host and handicapper here on tvg. matt carothers well knows something because he is gibson carothers' son and he himself is a pro handicapper, matt became the tv host at canterbury park, new york city otb and monmouth and well does have knowledge and loves to beat the favorite so he's one of the smart ones but he has but often hang out too much with todd schrupp with his clowneyness and he himself does clowneyness too. rich perloff he was once a tvg researcher and turned into on air talent for a while now and he was the paddock host and handicapper for fairplex park for awhile and now often does the monday and tuesdays on tvg covering the average racetracks and sometimes is put on the air for the big racetracks he's a knowledgeable handicapper who does the crap shifts and i think he should be an upgrade and knows his stuff. nick hines was once a trainer and he's okay but he makes appearances on tvg that sometimes it's hard to pay attention because he goes off and does his salute stuff and he does that alot lately. gino buccola now he's considered a tvg on-air talent god bless him i hope he gets well soon and hope he gets better and you never want to wish anybody bad luck. but i am not convinced that he knows how to handicap horses which he does the monday and tuesdays and fridays on air. Joaquin Jamie another tvg on air talent that works as the researcher i believe does the monday and tuesdays no comment.

mr.b aka bob baedeker well he's a professional southern california handicapper for a longtime now and part of the baedeker family and i think he even writes his own tipsheet at the racetracks at santa anita, del mar and hollywood park. he was one of the tvg on-air talent that got layed off and when he was full-time he was usually known as the morning person with greg and he hit some good tickets in the past and picked too many favorites but his knowledge is good. he eventually cameback to the network and now freelances for tvg. nancy ury well she's freelance and always has been for a while she used to be the stable manager at hollywood park for a longtime and did do ocassional tv work at hollywood park also, she too used to be the track analyst at oaklawn park and hawthorne before coming to tvg. she's one of the clowns on tvg who doesn't have the brains to do run downs of the horses in the field and instead reads emails or goes off in space. well she left her job at hollywood park to work for west point thoroughbreds as a Vice President of West Coast Operations which am sure that's a stressful job to have. bill seward has been coverng horse racing for alongtime now going back to the days when he was at espn and on fox sports net doing the santa anita shows. and he to also is a los angeles sports anchor for radio and television. he has been on tvg for alogtime time now but freelance though i always thought he was knowledgeable because he's been doing horse racing now for along time and knows what he's saying.

todd schrupp got involved in horse racing before came to tvg well he was tv host at canterbury park and calder and he's the chessiest host ever!!! chances are he's probably the highest paid tvg host on the network that's been there since day 1. frank lyons well the reason why he knows his stuff is because he was once a trainer who trained a breeders cup winner named desert stormer and he has been with tvg since day 1 also and he was at one point part of the major tvg broadcasts for several years before a few years ago disappeared for like the whole summer and didn't comeback until the fall. well as it turns out he freelances for tvg now and often does take vacation trips to ireland and he too is a bloodstock agent also and it was false that he got layed off according to a drf press release correction a few days after they announced the people who got layed off. simon bray was once a trainer that he seemed okay with training horses but gave it up to work for tvg full-time which he did make appearances from time to time. he's a smart handicapper and great pay attention to but lately he's been hanging out with todd schrupp too much and his clowneyness is much worse than before. christina olivares is the only tvg on-air person i really pay attention to alot with her paddock interviews are great and handicapping as well. she adds alot to the table and she really could lead the way here on tvg. but you could tell sometimes she isn't that comfortable clowneyness but she is a serious though in general and asks the right questions to trainers in the paddock at hollywood park and del mar. she's the daughter of former trainer and jockey frank olivares and that's why she has the brains of a knowledgeable horseperson and handicapper. hrtv must be hitting themselves in the head thinking what a mistake they made because before coming to tvg, she was a reporter and producer for hrtv but they didn't give her a chance and felt discouraged how they treated her. that is probably the biggest regret hrtv has to have by letting go of christina but she's now their what she's doing something that she's always wanted to do but hrtv was being chessy. michelle yu at first i thought she was known for just being julien leparoux's girlfriend but she did work on the backside she has said in the past and did make appearances for a few months as filler spots on tvg. but she kind of was gone for a little bit but then went to do computer work as a reporter for kentuckyderby.com and twinspirestv.com but then a few years ago cameback to tvg but as a freelance tvg on-site reporter before going full-time last year. she to me was a joke last year because she was giving out selections that weren't even the daily racing form related it was just in terms of how they look in the paddock and post parade which were chessy and stupid. but now with all the complaints that the tvg community had against her doing it tvg finally got her to do checkmark selections and now we can trust her now and she's getting better with her picks and analysis on the horses. but lately has been doing in-studio time covering the average racetracks and reading out emails. She has also contributed to some select nights at Los alimatos racing on the quarters hosting and reporting and she seems okay at it. donna barton brothers a former jockey who came close to winning the breeders cup back in 1995 with hennesey but retired from riding a few years later and turned into a tv host at fair grounds, churchill downs and did do on-location for the network for a bit from the tracks but stopped after that. she's usally the nbc reporter on horseback for the triple crown races and knows what she's saying i wish she had make more appearances though. only time you get to see her is during the kentucky action reporting from keeneland and turfway park. ron ellis a trainer here in so.cal was also a tv analyst for the ntra champions on fox and knows alot about handicapping horses and i wish he was on full-time but training duties is what makes him work part-time for this network. paul lo duca was a former major leauge baseball player/catcher and was a 4 time major league all star that actually he knows what he's saying about horses and he too is a horse owner as well. he's actually better than that football player tvg had on along time ago name bryan cox. i actually think paul should pursue a career on tvg full-time because he knows what he's saying and has been doing it as if he's been doing it forever. he usually does the monmouth meet and sometimes is in california too himself i wonder if he's still trying to be in a mlb team again?? tom amoss a trainer in the midwest comes on tvg during the kentucky events like donna barton brothers but he really knows what he's saying whenever he's on and he does train some nice horses in the past too and knows the game well.

mike joyce well he was a tvg researcher and eventually became a tvg on-air person but he covers the quarter horse racing action from los alimatos but he sometimes does thoroughbred racing coverage sometimes. sometimes he can be a clown and go overboard sometimes. dave weaver well he's basically known as tvg's only expert to talk about harness racing but he multitasks to quarter horse racing also and thoroughbreds too. he's a good host to talk about all 3 breeds and has been with the network since day 1 as well. les onaka needs no introudction he's a great handicapper for los alimatos and knows what he's talking about. ed burgart the track announcer at los alimatos and once was an announcer at hollywood park who makes appearances on tvg knows his stuff already and needs no introduction.
Added Tom Cassidy a guy use to be the track analyst at monmouth for a bit and they got him a deal on tvg and he's great and a well talked analyst!! I think he's a great asset to tvg!!

i like tvg's idea to have people from the racetrack come on and do track reports from the racetrack to see what's going around the track and what to expect today. like all of them are knowledgeable like darrin from the meadowlands, the woodbine people like renee kierans, dawn lupul, chad rozema, jeff bratt and jim bannon, mike hamilton from mohawk, joe withee and robert geller from emerald downs, mike curci and brad thomas from monmouth.

great people on tvg but need to cut the clowneyness and do hardcore handicapping strictly like hrtv!!!

OMG, did you actually write this

You could pay me 1000.00 and I dont think I could get through all that.

The question I think you mean to be asking is can any of us PICK A WINNER?

In my case the answer clearly is............................................................................?????

Lol.

True story:

Last time I went away to Vegas my boss axed me if I ever win when I play the races.

I go,

"Jxx, if I won do you really think I'd be coming to work every day? That wouldn't make any sense."

Now let me get back and finish reading Tvgrgtvrhrdvtcvg's post.

Don't agree with his assessment of Millie Ball's talent on HRTV. Wife of trainer Tim Yakteen, and she galloped horses in Europe, she brings a lot to
the table. Maybe he doesn't understand her British accent.

I just skimmed it. Paul Lo Duca is 40 and hasn't played since 2008. Only way he's playing ball is if he does the picks at Monmouth by day and dons the tools of ignorance for the Newark Bears at night.

Never been impressed with his handicapping skills. If TVG wants retired athletes, then bring back Brian Cox!!

Ah come on, y'all! No one can, day in and day out, pick winners in EVERY race on EVERY card. Geez.
That must be a horrible gig. If I was on one of those shows, whose main purpose is to get everyone to bet every race,
I would be like "Hey Kermit, whodoyoulike in this race?"
"No one".
"OK... always a good report from Kermit...How about you, Todd?"
America must have the highest "goofs per capita" rating of any nation outside Antarctica.
