Diamond club cards ever "expire"?

My wife has a Diamond Club card that she hasn't used in years (scandalous, I know) and I was wondering if it would still be good?

Do they ever go through and retire cards that go unused?

I don't know if they expire or not, but was wondering if we can sign up online (that would be a good idea Mr. Webmaster).

They don't expire, but you can't sign up online as you have to produce a photo I.D. You can however, print out the application and fill it out before you get here.
