5-DAY WEEK?????THAT'S WEAK. BET TREVOR LIKES IT THOUGH. AND THE DEL MAR EMPLOYEES WHO ALREADY ONLY WORK LIKE 3 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR. MAKE IT 2 AND A HALF.
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????It could be worse--Hollywood Park 4 days a week. 5 sounds good to me.
I used to be indecisive; now, I'm not so sure.
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????Trust me Nash, this is a good thing. I think the racing will be better and the entry box will be fuller.
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????5-day weeks are bogus for Del Mar. Hollywood went to 4 because it's..... HOLLYWOOD! Most horsemen, vacationers, partiers can't wait for the SUMMER! There is a reason DM is tops in average handle and admission. If it's not broke.......! Randazzo
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????I think most tracks should cut a day of racing to 4 days a week. I can see why the Boutique meets would keep the status quo, but for longer meets like Gulfstream, Arlington, Polywood, Aqueduct (Inner Dirt meet) etc need horses to continually filling their cards. Gulfstream went from 6 days to 5 and it worked quite well. I can't think of betting on anything worse than 5 and 6 horse fields for 8,9, or 10 races and have a chalk-fest come in. JMO.
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????I guess having to deal with "furlough" days even extends to horseracing.....
Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????I really feel the 4 day week at most of the major So Cal meets will become the norm and not the exception until at least the economy picks up.

Re: 5-DAY WEEK?????I think the 5 day week is a good thing. Not having to 'cap the 5 or 6 extra cards will allow my brain to last longer into the season!
