It's napping under a blanket of Hexadeck until the fair is over on Sunday. As soon as the fair/Hexadeck is gone, the crew begins getting it ready.

Del Mar needs to get the Polycam up and running now, so we can watch the renovation. And the gardner in me wouldn't mind having the Paddock-cam up so I could watch that transformation too! :)
I bet on a horse at ten-to-one. It didn't come in until half-past five.
My horse was so late getting home, he tiptoed into the stable.

Speaking of webcams and good uses for them, why not have one located right near the entrance to the Clubhouse and TurfClub on opening day?

Okay, Gang -- the PolyCam and the Paddock Cam are both back -- you can watch our guys take on the heroic task of turning a fairgrounds back into a race track. (The grass in the paddock was absolutely gorgeous before the fair started.)

Thanks, Mary!

The paddock area looks so bare (and burned). Kudos to the grounds crews for always making that area so pretty every year. But I have a feeling we are going to see some "grass painting" . . . . yes? :)

You know, I am really going to have to see my cardiologist after all this excitement. . . but it beats working, which is my alternative at the moment.

OK, I admit that I have spent way too much time watching the Cams too.

So, when are the horses coming in and when is the first scheduled work?
