What time is 4 O'Clock Fridays?

Del Mar Friday Concerts --
Free With Racetrack Admission

Start off the weekend with twilight racing, then catch some of the hottest bands in the country at 3 O'Clock Fridays. The concerts are free with paid racetrack admission, $6 for Stretch Run and $10 for Clubhouse. There is no seating for the concerts, it's standing room only. The concerts are never "sold out" but the earlier arrivals get the best locations.

First race is 3:00 p.m. every Friday with the last race scheduled for approximately 7:00 p.m. Concerts begin following the last race on the Plaza de Mexico stage.

The Flaming Lips at the first 4'0 Clock Friday in 2007 was the best. Ever. Hands down.

Actually.... it looks like DMTC has moved up their cards to 3'O Clock.

I guess that will make traffic in the vicinity a little easier to navigate. I just hope our employers are OK with the extra hour of downtime....

It's a real bummer that violent femmes aren't playing this year... they're kind of the staple for the 3-4 o'clock fridays... always good shows.

Quick question, anyone know when the gates will be opening for the free admittance for the concert now?
I know it was after the last race last year and in the years before that... wasn't sure if that had changed...

No free admission for the concerts last year or this year. Prior to that free admission started before the last race. The parking charge actually goes up after the races on concert night. The idea is pretty much to get people to come to the races and stay for the concert.
