The dirt parking lot cannot be paved. It's a habitat for nesting endangered birds in the off season.

If Del Mar gets the BC, I'd anticipate increased use of trains and off-site parking. The off-site parking with shuttles works quite well during the fair, which has much higher daily attendance.

Pretty sure if we got Breeders' Cup, the fair would not schedule a major event on the grounds for just when the parking lot would be emptying after the races.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

Better to bet someone else's life than your own. That's how I lived to be

California is broke. The USA is broke. Racing is diminishing. Del Mar has some success now with their summertime meet. Ain't gonna happen, even if they convene a study committee.
America must have the highest "goofs per capita" rating of any nation outside Antarctica.

Pylons on the 5. Problem solved. Traffic is a problem after Patriots games up here. That's why we have pylons on 95...cars already on 95 can't change lanes into the far right lane at the Route 1 interchange because those cars are merging on and need room to do so.

When I left on Thursday 7/29, took a good 10 minutes from the lot to the 5 North. There should never be a line of cars sitting on the ramp. That's the problem...the front of the line isn't getting a chance to merge onto the 5 clearly. Don't give them "one car per green" lights, let them on into a dedicated lane.

Have to agree with the above two posters.

Most regular PLAYERS and frequent visitors to LIVE racing know where to park and how to leave the parking lots in a quick, efficient manner.

The only exception to this is Opening Day, which is strictly amateur hour..

Syncopate and I seen numerous cars pulled over on our way up to the coast road. Young adults sitting on the curb, while the man was poking around in their vehicles
