Someone told me they read somewhere that Ingrid is back. I couldnt find anything on it. Can Mary please post the 3 Stewards for the meet.
Hard to believe a person who left being a steward a few years ago to be a CHRB Biggie, then wouldnt go to Sacramento and retires, now gets rewarded with a Stewards job?
I am sure Jerry Jamgotchian loves her return. Well if the racing isnt exciting at DM this summer the off track stuff should make headlines.
Nice for So. Cal racing to be going back to the old days.
The Dodgers Suck. No Championships in 25 Years. HAHA
I read it in this past Saturday's NC Times in the Jamgotchian article..
But Jerry Jamgotchian won't be there, even though he owns about 140 horses and loves the sport of kings with a passion that borders on obsession. Instead, the shopping mall developer will probably be at home in Manhattan Beach, watching his horses run on Eastern tracks via a grainy Internet feed. Or he'll be busy preparing for an upcoming California Horse Racing Board hearing to address his complaint against Del Mar steward Ingrid Fermin, a longtime adversary.

Not just Jerry Jam in a 1 man crusade any more according to the article-
If wishes were horses then beggars would ride-
& If dirt were dollars we'd all be in the black
I remember visiting the DMR pressbox a few times one meet about 5 years ago. Ingrid was a steward back then, along with two of the "good 'ol boys".
Ingrid would usually eat lunch by herself in the corner of the freeloaders lunch room. The two other stewards would usually eat lunch together, or with a group of people. Seemed like even back then, she didn't win any popularity contests..I wonder if being a woman in primarily a "man's game" has anything to do with it?
It had a LOT to do with it. Definitely the Old Boys' Club.
