I have lost 20 lbs in June, and I am going to try to drop a few more by 7/22. I am still the size of a small South American country, but at least my scale doesn't register an E on it now when I step on it. Sheeesh.

Surf n Saddle? What a loveshow that place is. Guy gave me $10 there the night of opening day, and told me to make a bet for him, telling me that he'd meet me by the jockey scales. I actually checked for him...and he didn't show.

As for opening day, I went last year. I found that like most things associated with your state, it's a giant underwhelming pain in the ass. But I hope you all have a good time. I'm just sorry that you can't afford to pay cops to direct traffic off the 5.
